RAK Medical and Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU) is one of the premier Medical Schools in the Middle East located in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. RAKMHSU has been established by His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, Supreme Council Member and Chancellor of RAKMHSU.

In a short span of five years, it has established itself as a reputable Medical and Health Sciences University having more than 500 students from 40 countries and 140 faculty members in addition to 65 Non-teaching staff from 22 countries. Thus RAKMHSU has become the destination for the students all over the world who are looking for quality education in Medical and Health Sciences (Undergraduate programs of Medical, Dental, Pharmacy and Nursing and Masters Programs in Pharmacy and Nursing).

RAKMHSU is committed to prepare graduates for 21st Century with all the knowledge, skills and attitude, which are critical for the Health Science Professionals.

Now RAKMHSU is happy to announce the establishment of their Regional Office in USA at Poughkeepsie in the State of New York and is represented through Mr. Marwan Nesheiwat, Consultant – Regional Office – USA.

The Regional Office at Poughkeepsie is set up to provide information and coordinate activities related to RAK MHSU, its admission norms, fee details and other necessary information to prospective students from North America, who are interested in joining RAK MHSU to pursue their careers in Medical & Health Sciences.

The Regional Office will also liaise with the appropriate Government and Statutory authorities in USA to promote Academic activities of RAK MHSU including necessary certification and licensing. The Regional Office will also coordinate with various Universities / Medical Schools in North America with which RAK MHSU will be associated, to encourage Faculty / Student Exchange, Curricular Review, Continuing Medical Education, Research and Development and other Curriculum activities. Currently, the Regional Office is actively coordinating collaboration between RAK MHSU and New York Medical College, New York to establish the process of Licensing with the United State Medical Board to enable the students to complete their residency in United States. RAK MHSU and NYMC have already signed an Understanding on 22nd June 2010, to promote Academic collaboration including Student and Faculty Exchange, Research and Development etc.
