Q 1: How many books can I borrow?
Ans: Maximum of 4 Books you can borrow at one time

Q 2: How long can I keep the borrowed books?
Ans: You can keep the borrowed books for 2 weeks from the date of issue

Q 3: Can I renew the borrowed books?
Ans: Yes you can renew your books for 2 times.

Q 4: What is the process of renewing the borrowed book?
Ans: Books can be renewed by three ways:

By just replying the reminder E Mail sent by the Library
By Log in your Account Online
In Person

Q 5: How can I access my library account?
Ans: You can access you Library account through OPAC by clicking the Account Button on OPAC main page.

Q 6: Can I reserve any particular Book?
Ans: Yes you can reserve the particular book, reservation can be made either in person or by log in you account.

Q 7: How can I know the due date of the book?
Ans: Due date is stamped on the due date slip pasted on the inner back of the book, or you can log in your account to know the due date.

Q 8: Can I issue the 'Reference Book'?
Ans: No, You cannot issue the 'Reference Book'. They are meant to be use in the Library only.

Q 9: How can I know that the book is on reference?
Ans: The reference book can be identified by seeing 'R' on the spine of the book.

Q 10: Can I get the journals issued?
Ans: No, Journals and other periodical cannot be issued, you can just refer it in the Library

Q 11: Can I get the Audio-Visual material issued?
Ans: No, Audio-visual Material cannot be issued. They are for reference purpose only.

Q 12: Where can I search for the documents Available in the Library?
Ans: The Catalogue of the Library Material is available both On-Campus and Off-Campus,

Q 13: If OPAC is showing a book available on shelf, but I am unable to find, so what shall I do?
Ans: In this case, please contact the Library Staff.

Q 14: How do I get to know about the recent information from the Library?
Ans: List of Journals and Books that have been procured are circulated to each and every member of the University Staff, Students and Faculties

Q 15: What are the library hours?
Ans: Sunday to Thursday : 8.30 AM to 9:30 PM,
Saturday: 9.00 AM to 2:00 PM,
Friday: Holiday

Ans: Yes, We have two satellite Libraries,

Obaidallah Hospital Library

Q 17: How can I use the Reprography Services (Printing, Scanning & Xeroxing)?
Ans: A dedicated staff is deployed to assist and serve you for all your Reprographic needs.

Q 18: How much do I have to pay for Reprographic services?
Ans: For Xeroxing and Printing: 25 fils/page, for scanning: No charge

Q 19: How can I pay for the reprographic services?
Ans: You have to pay the reprography services through Coupons only, which are available on the Library counter

Q 20: Does the library have any area for Group discussion?
Ans: Yes, Library have dedicated PBL and group discussion room

Q 21: Do we have the back volume of the journals?
Ans: Back Volume of the subscribed journals is available in the Journal section of the Library.

Ans: Library Website has almost all the information about the Library. For further information please contact the Library staff.

Q 24: What is "Library Card"?
Ans: Your "University Identity Card" (UID Card) issued by the Administration Department is your bar-coded "Library Card".

Q 25: What should I do if I lost my Library Card?
Ans: Inform the concerned Staff immediately.

Q 26: How can I Access 'ProQuest Online Medical Library'?
Ans: ProQuest Online Medical library database can be accessed both on campus and off campus. For Log in details please contact the Library staff.

Q 27: How can I Access 'MicroMedex Online Database'?
Ans: MicroMedex Online Database for Pharmacy can be accessed only on-campus. The Log in details is provided by Library Staff.

Q 28: How Can I access E-Books?
Ans: Please refer the details of the E-Books are available in the library. You will also be informed about the updates of the E-Books through your corporate E Mail time-to-time.

Q 29: How can I access the Internet facility in the Library?
Ans: Internet facility is available on 35 Computer systems; apart from that you can also use the internet on our Laptops.

Q 30: Can I access the Internet facility on my laptop?
Ans: Yes, you can access the Internet on your Laptop as the whole Library Has WiFi connectivity

Q 31: I am an external member and I want to use the your library, So how do I proceed?
Ans: Yes, We have Library Professional Membership System. The external membership is granted only on the approval of the honorable Vice Chancellor. Fees Structure for the external members is as follows:

AED 2000/- as one year membership
AED 1000/- as six months membership
AED 200/- as per months membership
