Bachelor of Pharmacy

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharm), comprises of 6 months of General Education, one year of basic sciences, two-and-half years of Pharmaceutical sciences and 6 months of Practice School.

Master of Science in Pharmacy Practice

  • At the end of two year curriculum, the students shall be able to: Prepare for evidence based pharmacy practice in the changing health care environment of the 21st century.
  • Develop a mastery of the knowledge base in pharmaceutical and clinical sciences essential to fulfill all of the roles of pharmacy practitioners. Demonstrate skills in the technical, social and behavioral aspects of pharmacy, including communication skills.
  • Illustrate the integration of knowledge and skills in the optimization of medication management for a wide range of people.
  • Acquire the skills and attitudes necessary for a commitment to lifelong learning including skills to retrieve, critically appraise, disseminate and apply new knowledge.
  • Develop a professional and compassionate approach to critically evaluate and assess the health care.

 

Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Chemistry

The two-year curriculum has been designed to achieve the following goals:

  • To provide a comprehensive pharmaceutical education leading to M.Pharm Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
  • To prepare for drug discovery in the changing and challenging health care environment of the 21st Century using the knowledge of organic, bioorganic and computer aided methods.
  • To integrate medicinal chemistry with related pharmaceutical sciences to enable the students to apply their knowledge to drug development
  • To integrate analytical skills to enable the students ensure quality pharmaceutical products and care.
  • To develop a professional for the Isolation, synthesis and analysis of drugs To understand the relationship between chemistry, pharmacokinetics and pharmacology of drugs
  • To provide industry and laboratory based pharmacy education program.
  • To prepare pharmacists who can function effectively in the social health care system.
  • Contributing to social development through research on pharmaceutical sciences.
