Important note for Indian nationals

Eligibility Certificate from Medical Council of India


Indian nationals desirous of taking admission in an undergraduate medical course in a foreign medical institution including RAK Medical and Health Sciences University should obtain an 'Eligibility Certificate' from Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi, before joining the program. Please refer to MCI website www.mciindia.org for details.

Indian Nationals Pursuing British Curriculum Education

Indian nationals pursuing GCSE / IGCSE (British curriculum) education, intending to join medical degree program are required to have obtained at least 'C' grade in Advanced level (A level) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, besides 5 passes at GCE "O" level.
Subsidiary level (AS level) examination is not recognized by Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 12th grade. MCI strictly requires compliance with passing in ‘A’ level examination for Indian nationals to receive the 'Eligibility Certificate' prior to joining the Medical Program and subsequently to appear for the 'Screening Test' after completion of the program.

Students desirous of joining RAKMHSU may please note the following:

Indian nationals pursuing GCSE / IGCSE (British curriculum) education are eligible to apply for RAKMHSU according to the admissions norms of the University with Advanced Subsidiary 'AS level' examination as mentioned in the admission brochure and website. However, Indian nationals desirous of subsequently pursuing higher studies in India or practice in India should note that they should meet the MCI requirements strictly and hence are required to appear for 'A' level examination also.
