Bachelor of Dental Surgery - BDS

The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program is offered at RAK College of Dental Sciences (RAKCODS) which is one of the four constituent professional Colleges of RAK Medical and Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU), Ras Al Khaimah. BDS program is a five year program.

The program comprises of general education, basic medical sciences, basic courses in dental sciences and pre-clinical & clinical courses. Preclinical training is provided on patient simulation units and clinical training in dental clinics under the supervision of qualified faculty and staff.

The curriculum has been developed, revised and updated to provide learning opportunities enabling dental students to acquire fundamental knowledge, develop basic skills and appropriate principles relevant to oral health care in the context of the community.

The graduates of this program shall have opportunities to work in general practice, the community dental service, hospital practice, university teaching and research in various individual organizations.
